More Confirmed Cast & Crew

I’ve found out more interesting news regarding BIOYA. So here it goes:

1) It seems that BIOYA is directed by Steve Rash (see pic above) an established director that had directed more than a dozen movies since 1978.
2) More cast members (and even some crew members) had been ‘identified’ working in the up-coming movie. Most of the cast members are newcomers (but with impressive résumés) that include Gus Carr, Marcy Rylan, Giovonnie Samuels, Cindy Chiu, Francia Almendarez, Gary Leroi Gray, Danielle Savre, Jessica Fife & Jake McDorman.
3) PV = Pacific Vista High School
4) The storyline of the movie goes something like this – Britney (Panettiere) is the cheer captain of the elite PV but had to move to Crenshaw Heights when her father took a new job there. Even though the Crenshaw cheer squad (which consist of Knowles as one of its cheerleaders) was doubtful of her abilities, she soon proves them wrong and secures a place amongst the Crenshaws. They work hard to enter and compete in the Rihanna-video-special contest and had to compete against Britney’s old school the PV (which was now lead by a bitchy new captain who’s basically not to fond of her)
5) Pacific Vista High School cheer squad are called the Pirates while the Crenshaw Heights High School squad are called Warriors
6) The Pirates squad consist of = Rylan (as Winnie) Chiu (Amber) Savre (Brianna) and Fife (Sierra)
7) The Warriors squad consist of = Panettiere (Britney Allen) Knowles (Camille) Carr (Jesse) Gray (Tyson) Samuels (Kirresha) Almendarez (Leti)
8) Jake McDorman will be playing the role as Britney’s football jock boyfriend Brad
9) And yes, I can now safely say that BIOYA will be a ‘DVD Original’ (as Universal puts it) which in our language means ‘straight-to-the-DVDs’

If you guys wanted to know more about the cast & crew of BIOYA (especially how they look like), please visit my BIOYA site (www.geocities.com/acaciafan) as I’ve updated it with new pictures of the cast members and some other stuff.

BIOYA Confirmed Cast Members

Here is some info regarding the cast members of BIOYA.

Unless you’ve been living in a cave on a deserted island ala Lost for the past year, then you probably know who Rihanna (a top R&B singer with hit single Pon De Replay) and Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s little sister) are. But only when I found a photo of Hayden Panettiere that I realize I’ve seen the girl so many times on TV and the movies. Not offence to die-hard Hayden fans though, I really suck when it comes to names. See the picture if you don’t believe me (if you can’t see any pictures appearing on this post, than it’s a sure sign that I’m still trying to unraveled the mystery that is ‘how-to-put-a-picture-inside-a-blog’ so be patient ok). Also, there’s these guys by the name of Blake Angier and Cesar Pinto which also be appearing on the movie (although I don’t really know what character they will be playing, yet). I can’t find any info on the latter other than the fact that they both shared an agency (http://www.ddoagency.com/). Now on to Blake Angier. Apparently he’s a faculty member of Retter’s Academy of Dance (http://www.rettenworld.com/) which pretty much explains why he was hired on BIOYA. He’d been working with some top-notch choreographers & artists and has also modeled for several ads including Nike, Nokia & Adidas. All and all, he’s an experienced pro-dancer so I don’t think it’ll be a problem for him to do stunts (?) and stuff. See picture above to find out what he looked like.

More updates on the other cast members once I found anything new (and after I fed my pet cat Jojo since he’s been staring at me for quite sometime now. Creepy!)

Oh and before I forget, all BIOYA related casting calls & auditions had been closed (as far as I can confirm) as they’d already begun shooting. Better luck next time people!

SIDE-STORY: The Goblet of Fire

Just to give you guys a heads start, Side-Story is just me being bored & since there’s nothing new to report regarding BIOYA, I decided to ramble on endlessly about other subjects such as my boring-as-hell life and the things that interest me.

As far as I know, I think I’m the only one among my friends that had become a Harry Potter devotee without actually reading any of J.K Rowling’s books. I used to love reading books but these days, I’m more of an avid movie-goer than a book-reader so that’s pretty much how I become a Harry Potter fan. And yes, I also think that the Goblet of Fire is the most kick-ass movie among the 4 that had came out. However, a few things suddenly came to my attention as I was still watching the movie:

1) Hermione is not as annoying as she is before. In fact, I think I kinda like her in the current movie. She looks so pretty in her ball-dress.
2) And the new annoying character in a Harry Potter movie goes to… (drum-rolls) Cho Chang! Harry spends half of his time staring at you and you never seen him coming (to ask you out)? Right!
3) Despite my friend’s sudden craziness for Cedric Diggory, I prefer Victor Krum (did I spell him right?) in the movie solely because I think he’s hot and golden boys doesn’t really intrigued me that much.
4) I thought for sure Harry will end up with Hermione (cause I think they’ll make a cute couple) but obviously I was wrong. Or am I?
5) The boys (Harry, Ron, Malfoy) had really grown up, hadn’t they? Deep, broken voices, sudden interest in the girls (namely Tom Feldon, he was actually eyeing on Emma Watson off-scene, wasn’t he?) and that long mop of hair on Ron’s head. Is he supposed to look like that in the books? I kinda like him when he has that cute boyish haircut on the previous movies.
6) The evolution of my friend Chris in pronouncing Hermione’s name. He used to think that Hermione was pronounced as ‘Her-me-on’. Come to think of it, I used to think that myself.
7) And remember, I never read any of the books so I might not even know what I’m talking about.

Insiders Info

Here the email I got from a BIO fan who's on the set of the all new BIOYA. Hope it will give you guys a more thorough look inside the movie.

Hi, I just wanted to notify you that they are coming out with another Bring it on Movie called Bring It On yet Again! They called a few local colleges around the L.A. & Orange County area in California for cheer squads and is filming part of the competition itself in Los Angeles. I know, because my squad was asked to be an extra on the movie. All I really know right now from what I have seen is that Hayden Panettiere stars in it, you might have seen her from movies such as Ice Princess, Racing Stripes, Remember the Titans. I also know that one of the girls from the cast of Nickelodeon's show ALL THAT is featured in the movie. Also r&b singer Rihanna is featured in the movie. From watching the film and the actors it's based off the first movie somewhat. You have the white squad and the black squad. The white squad is I believe PV (don't know the exact name of the school) and its colors are red and yellow. The black squad is Crenshaw High school and its colors is yellow and blue. The concept is they do compete at a competition in which they go to prelims and 2 squads get picked to go to the finals which is obviously PV and Crenshaw and Rihanna gets to pick the winner in which gets to be in her music video. That is about all the information I can get from seeing what was going on.
That is all the information I can give you.
A special thanks to LiLxDeMoNx for the info above

I'm Back!

I cannot believe that I will actually be creating another tribute site for BIO when BIO Again came out back in 2003. As much as I love BIO, I really didn't think that they'll be another sequel to the awesome movie but obviously I was wrong.
So here what I know about the upcoming movie:
1) R&B singer Rihanna will be starring in the movie (or at least making a cameo) alongside Solange (yes, Beyonce's little sister) and Hayden Panettiere (Ice Princess, Racing Stripes)
2) The production had started filming around LA & Orange County area in CA
3) Although I can't confirm whether this is old news or not, the production is still searching for extras to fill up certain roles in the movie so surf the internet to find more info if any of you are interested.
4) The story revolves around 2 squads (which will be white & black oriented) and instead of vying to be a cheerleading champion, they'll be competing for an exclusive appearance in a music video of sorts (from Rihanna nevertheless)
5) The teams will be called Crenshaw High School cheerleaders (for the black squad) and PV (for the white squad - I'll find out the exact name of the squad later)
6) The team will be wearing these color of uniforms: Yellow & blue for the Crenshaw and red & yellow for the PV
7) Tony Gonzales, the same guy that did the choreography for BIOA will again be leading the choreography section of the movie.

And no, I can't confirm whether they'll be releasing the movie into theatres or straight to the videos (like they did with BIOA) but I'll try and find those info a.s.a.p. And after finding out about this sequel, I can't help but think about the movie 24/7 and am pretty excited to see the finishing product. Fingers crossed that it will be as good as BIO (or at least better than BIOA).
